An ongoing collaboration with Thunderboom Records exploring ways to generate live MIDI music with AI, enabling musicians to jam with generative models in real time. The project combines two approaches: FIGARO Live, a real-time adaptation of the FIGARO music generation model, and a GrooveTransformer on Raspberry Pi, which runs a groove-based drum pattern generator on embedded hardware. Together, these tools let performers interact with AI-generated MIDI streams as a live musical collaborator.
